Truly Blessed

There exist companions disposed to break one another to pieces, but there exists a friend sticking closer than a brother.~Proverbs 18:24

This is Cathy…she is an absolutely amazing woman and I am so blessed to have her in not only my life, but the lives of my family. She truly is closer to me than my own sisters.

Can you see that spread on the table behind her? She did that all by herself for about 6 different families and set up a softball game for the kids in those families. Why? For no other reason but that she wanted the kids to have a great time together one last time before school officially began.

I love Cathy and just cannot imagine my life without her in it. This is a small taste of what she does daily not only for me…her friends…family…but complete strangers. I have learned so much from her in the area of empathy and compassion for others.

“Remember, the greatest gift is not found in a store nor under a tree, but in the hearts of true friends.”~ Cindy Lew

“A faithful friend is the medicine of life.”~ Apocrypha

People like Cathy are such a gift. She is a beautiful example of what we should be like. So many of us think of doing nice things but do not act on them. I love to see people who act on their good thoughts! Thanks for sharing :)
